Ongoing State Book Projects

Ghana State Book Project is currently operating in some traditional areas including Mankessim traditional area in the Central Region, Akuapem traditional area in the Eastern Region and the Asogli State, which encompasses several traditional areas with Ho as its traditional capital in the Volta Region.

Mankessim State Book Project

The project was launched on 30th March, 2023 and commenced immediately to document the histories and cultural practices of Mankessim State including areas like Abaandze, Baafikrom, Krampakrom, Gyedu, Kormantse, Kwasil Ansah, Anafo, Obrom, and many others.

Akuapem State Book Project

On 28th July, 2023 the project was launched in Akuapem Akropong during a Traditional Council meeting held with all the towns and villages under the five divisions of Akuapem State namely, Kontire, Adonten, Nifa, Benkum and Gyase.

Asogli State Book Project

It is the first state book project launched in Volta Region on 15th June 2022 in Ho during State Council Meeting held with all the traditional areas in Asogli. The project commenced on 29th April 2024 and has since captured several towns and villages.

Other States Book Projects initiated

Other Projects launched and initiated include New Juabeng traditional area, Akwamu traditional area, and Effutu traditional area. These projects are scheduled to commence soon.
