Vice President of Ghana Applauded the Project and renders his support
His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana applauded the Ghana State Book Project and declared the support of his office in ensuring that the project achieves success. Speaking to a delegation from the Ghana State Book Secretariat in the conference room of the office of the vice president at the Jubilee House on 8th June, 2018, His Excellency mentioned how important he sees the project. According to His Excellency, the Office of the Vice President in collaboration with Lands Secretariat and other government agencies is undertaking an intiative to digitalise land administration system in the country. He believe that the Ghana State Book Project will help in determining and authenticating land ownership through its documentation of histories about royal families and towns and villages.
Mr. Isaac Bnright Botchway, the Coordinator of the project gave a comprehensive power point presentation to explain the project’s operations to the Vice President. Among the delegation that met the vice president include Mr. William Boateng, Director, of National Commission on Culture, Mr. Alfred Asumadu, Senior Officer, Ghana Tourism Authority, Mr. Frederick Frimpong Barfi, Principal Publisher, Bureau of Ghana Languages, Mr. Stephen Owusu, Resaerch Officer of the National House of Chiefs and Mr. Mawuli Beduya, Member of the Board. Others include Nana Nsiah Awuah, Manwerehene of Hwidiem Traditional Area, Nana Kojo Banafo, Akwamuhene of Awutu Traditional Area, Nana Osei Twum Brefa, Kwahu Bukruwahene, Mr. Collins Atta Panin Dazie, Business Man and Mr. Kennedy Okyere Larbi, Management Member, Ghana State Book
