Nana Wiafe Akenteng III, Offinsohene; there is no legacy a chief can leave behind rather than written his history

The Omanhene of Offinso Traditional Area, Nana Wiafe Akenten III declared at the launch of the Offinso State Book that cannot be said to have achieved something valuable without documenting the history of his people. Nana said he was invited by Takyimanhene, Oseadeeyo Akumfi Ameyaw IV to the launch of the Takyiman State Book; it was after the Book Launch that he realized that there is no legacy a chief can leave behind other than written history of his people.

Nana Offinsohene, after realizing the importance of the project invited the Ghana State Book Project to undertake similar exercise towards producing Offinso State Book. Nana was very grateful to the State Book team for producing such a wonderful book for the Offinso State. The occasion was graced by many paramount chiefs from Ashanti, Brong Ahafo, and Eastern regions. The Special guest of honour for the Occasion was His Excellency Mr. Tirso Dos Santos, the Country Director of the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) to Ghana.
